Dr. Aaron Childs grew up in rural Ontario and went on to attend the University of Waterloo, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Ergonomics. In 2003, upon completion of his medical training at Queen’s University in Kingston, he moved to Victoria, where he completed a two year Family Practice Residency through the University of British Columbia. Upon completion of his training, he chose to practice family medicine in many communities across Northern BC and the Yukon providing relief locum coverage for physicians. He enjoyed a full time practice in Mackenzie, BC for several years prior to travelling to Melbourne, Australia in 2009 for a year of further fellowship training in obstetrics. He is looking forward to settling in Victoria with his family and is pleased to join the Cook Street Village Health Centre providing full service Family Medicine care.
