Massage Therapy Victoria BC

Massage Therapy is a safe and effective way to improve your  health and well being. It is a drug-free approach, which can promote body awareness, enhance physical health, and consequently contribute to your overall emotional well being.

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTS) in B.C. are licensed by and registered with the College of Massage Therapy of B.C..

RMTs are trained to assess the structure and movement of your body. If you are experiencing pain, restricted movement, or another type of imbalance within the body, RMTs can address these problems by treating restricted muscle and fascia, improving circulation, and calming the nervous system. They can also provide tips and suggestions for stretching, as well as exercises for therapeutic strengthening and postural awareness. In addition, RMTs are required to complete ongoing continuing education courses to ensure that clients benefit from the most up to date knowledge and training that is available.

Massage Therapy can be an effective tool to address the following:

  • Fascial restrictions and scar tissue
  • Sports injury prevention and rehabilitation
  • Acute or chronic pain syndromes
  • Motor vehicle soft tissue damage
  • Tension headaches/migraines
  • General stress and troubled sleep
  • Muscle soreness and tension
  • Improving blood and lymphatic circulation

*Many extended medical benefit plans cover all or some of the cost of visiting an RMT – check your plan to find out whether you are covered.
